We use Munken, a premium uncoated fine paper for our entire stationery collection

Today I’d like to introduce you to Munken, a beautiful paper collection by Arctic Paper that we use for our complete stationery collection.

When it comes to paper I always search for quality and that tactile and natural appeal so for our collection, it was important to me that we find something that we’ll love. It happened to be that with Munken Pure, it was the love at first sight. I even remember receiving their catalog and just enjoying every single sheet - I knew right away that was the paper I wanted to use. However, when I learned more about its history and approach behind the Munken mill, the love became even stronger.

The Munken mill was founded in 1871 in Sweden and that same mill is today one of the world’s most environmentally-friendly paper mills – and practices sustainable production every day. And while talking about this extraordinary premium uncoated fine paper, I shall mention they have (at this point) 13 certificates/statements of which the most popular ones are FSC®, PEFC™, EU Ecolabel and Cradle to Cradle®

The Munken mill is the first paper mill in the world to have successfully completed the Cradle to Cradle Certified® certification.

And on that note, I’m proud and excited to be able to have Munken in our collection so wanted to share it here on the grid - we started with Munken Pure and its cream white shade but I can’t wait to add more from their range for art prints, journals, calendars and more...

Love you Munken. Thank you for loving us back.
